Well, let’s see what I did today. This morning, as I was leaving church, I saw that someone had posted a Canon 100mm f/2.8 macro lens for sale. It was a good deal; Sara and I figured it could be fun to get a macro lens for photos of wedding rings, flowers, or maybe even insects. I fired off an email to the seller and told him that I can’t pay him until after church. Well, he eventually found out that I was in Connecticut and offered to knock 30 bucks off the cost since he won’t have to pay the Paypal fees or shipping, as long as I picked it up in person. So my good friend Jim and I drove up to Enfield, which was 50 minutes or so away, bought the lens, then had pho (Vietnamese noodles) in Hartford. On second thought, I should’ve taken pictures of the food, but oh well. Anyways, when I got home, I put the lens to use right away. Here’s the result
Let’s see, what else did I do? Well, Rob and Myun Hwa’s wedding is in two weeks, so we went out for a mini-engagement shoot. We didn’t stray too far; we just stuck to the local park that had a neat little bridge over the water. Rob and Myun Hwa are great. We spent some time after our short session going over the photos, and they picked out a few that they really liked (not shown here yet, it’s a surprise) and they’ll be off for printing soon. Not about to leave any of you hanging, I will include some of the other pictures from the session. Oh, and Rob and Myun Hwa also bought us dinner at local hibachi restaurant. Did I tell you how great they are?
