Cherry Blossoms – Wooster Square

Sara and I missed the Cherry Blossom Festival last weekend in New Haven but were able to head over this weekend to see them. According on another website, 72 Yoshino Cherry Trees were planted in the park in 1972. Now the festival is currently an annual event, complete with food and music. I’m definitely a bit late to the party. We met up with our friends Nic and Isabel and strolled through the Wooster Square area. I was hoping that the streets would the void of cars and people, but I knew that wasn’t going to happen. I hadn’t realized how much I missed the warm weather (and free time) until we were basking in the sun on our walk and were being showered with blossoms that were loosened by the wind. This summer is going to be great!

Rob & Myun Hwa :: New Haven, CT

Well, here it is, finally, a fuller display of the images from Rob and Myun Hwa’s wedding. These two fine young people were married April 4th, 2009, in New Haven, CT. I met them at Trinity Baptist Church years ago. When they were engaged, they approached me to ask if I would be their photographer for the day. I’m glad I said yes because it was truly a blessing to be able to share their day with them in such a way. It was hard selecting my favorite images from the day, but here are a few, plus a slideshow. I hope that all of you will enjoy it. Please leave a comment or two. I would love to hear from you. To Rob & Myun Hwa, may your marriage continue to be bountiful and full of joy!

Rob & Myun Hwa :: New Haven, CT

I know many of you have been waiting, so here’s a teaser from Rob and Myun Hwa’s wedding this past Saturday at Trinity Baptist Church in New Haven, CT. You’ll have to wait another week to see more. :-p

Here are some of the other pictures of the engagement session. A few of these were printed on canvas and others were printed then backed with a styrene board, all which turned out great! Seeing how they turned out makes it really hard to go back to regular prints. They were displayed the wedding reception and were a big hit. If you’re considering large prints, definitely give styrene board or canvas prints a try. They’re made for hanging and worth every penny.
